Hi out there, what a highly profitable monday it is, and I believe you started the week on a good note...everywhere smells Christmas.
I am finding it interesting to discuss music this yuletide because music itself is an integral part of the season.....carols everywhere.
Hmmm...sequel to the introductory insight I discussed here last week (INTRODUCTION TO MUSIC I), I made it clear that music is part of every human lifestyle..though different types of music...depending on tribe and tongue. I have come to discover the wonder working power music carries.
Music makes Christian gathering a want to be atmosphere,
Music makes muslim prayers rhythmic,
Music makes even the traditional worshipers have an interesting time out comunicating with their gods and idols.
There is this enthusiasm and heartfelt joy when musicing. Have you ever imagined the number of broken hearts and distressed minds music has healed? Have you in one time thought about new and broken homes love music had tightened their love?
Have you at any point in time imagined a club house without music, a church without music, a mosque without rhythmic tone when saying solat (prayers), a ceremony or get together without live band or a dj?
You see this joy in children when they hear and sing their choice song. Even when elderly ones record success in their endeavors, they better express themselves with a choice song. And more so, on battle fields and during sport competitions, music is used to encourage and build up participant's ego.
I must also submit here before going further that the present dispensation is music trendy. One tends not to be relevant if you are not music freaked.
I will on this column be dishing out how the mystery of a typical music and contemporary gospel music will to a large extent be our case study.
Here we will know more on how to do good music in a contemporary gospel atmosphere. Ranging from vocal dexterity, tonal accuracy, breath control, song writing, music composition, sight singing and music production.
