Today on MIT ME, we have a representative of a popular Ibadan based dance crew that is putting IB city on the radar when it comes to dance business in Nigeria.

Good day and welcome to Pricherman116 Blog's exclusive interview session. We tag this session 'Mit Me' and we're so glad to have you here. Let's meet you.

Thank You very much for. this opportunity,the pleasure is mine. I'm Adeoyo Promise by name a.k.a Tunmise, CEO and 1/2 of D Testifiers Dance Crew.

Nice. Testifiers dance crew... How did that start?

I started dancing in church before I had my own crew. I started dancing as a professional in year 2012, established my crew in year 2013 with more than three members. Things changed in 2015 and we became just two (Tunmise_testifiers & tobi_testifiers).

How has the journey been since then?

The journey has been productive wee  thank God. Dance business has been rewarding though we have faced a lot of challenges and experienced some unpleasant times too. One has to pay a price to get the prize but above all, we don't have any regret because the interesting and rewarding times are more than the challenges we face.

You started dancing in the church. Do you still dance in the church alone or everywhere else?

Primarily, we dance in churches, which is to minister, but we also go circular for entertainment.

Kindly share your educational and childhood background with us.

I'm from a family of 4. I school in Ibadan, attended Abbey Standard College for my secondary education and I'm now a student of FUNAAB (Federal College of Agriculture, Abeokuta), Animal Nutrition department.

Tell us a little about your partner. How has partnering be for you two ?

I believe he is "God sent". He has been supportive. We are just compatible even if we have grudges sometimes, yet we get to reconcile in a cool way and we play a lot. We are just helpers to one another.

What does dance mean to you?

Dance is our Life.

What has been your greatest challenge so far?

We have faced a lot of challenges but the major one has to do with our financial buoyancy. Without this, we can't transport ourselves, get costumes and many more. You know we have to do things to prove to the viewers before they can pay you for what you are doing.

True. When was your best moment ever dancing?

As at early this year when we went to dance in an undeveloped church, we were discouraged about the look though but we had to do what we know how to do and love doing regardless of the people or the environment. It was a great moment because we touched lives there with our dance ministration  and they were glad we came. We achieved our aim of performing that day. After the programme, we were blessed with extra amounts of money including the money they sprayed us. Well, that was the first time we experienced people spraying money in church.

You are both students right?

Yes sir.

How do you manage studying and dancing simultaneously?

It's no problem sir. This has to do with discipline and seriousness, it's 50/50. We have time to dance and time to study but we make sure dance doesn't affect our studies. Whatever is worth doing is worth doing well. We also do night rehearsals just as we do night reading too. We do proper planning and everything works fine.

Cool. What are your projects for the nearest future? That should your fans also expect from you?

We are hoping to take it world wide. We want to make Dancing a Certified and well recognized talent and business. Our fans and lovers should expect something unique. Expect the unexpected.

Before you go, what's your advise for upcoming dancers out there who are probably looking up to you?

My advise for them is that they should keep doing what they can do. Whenever they "see" something good, they should "do" 'cos success comes from doing not seeing. Never give up. Many will bring you down but you bring yourself up. And this is very necessary, be a talented plus person and fear God. Put God first in everything, He is ready to Support you. He is the only one you can look up to.
