Laolu Gbenjo Defends The Slang "OSHAPRAPRA" Used In His Controversial New Single

Folks have thrown shots at Laolu Gbenjo over his newly released single "Alujo Meta" which contains the new slang "OSHAPRAPRA". Many say it is absolutely uncalled for and the slang should not be used on the altar. Laolu has however given a response via his instagram page to settle the issue on ground.

He wrote and I quote;

“ALUJO META is a movement to win the heart of the street for God, composed by foremost Nigerian Contemproary High-life Act - Laolu Gbenjo.

The lyrics, "OSHAPRAPRA" used in the song is a new word budding amongst Nigerian youths especially in the western states.

As funny as it may sound, it is synonymous to many great things in life such as;

Brilliance, Smartness, Fastness, Richness, Powerfulness, Beautiful, etc.

ALUJO META is taking over the street for God and it's a campaign to take gospel music to the nook and crannies of every street in Africa.”

A few days before the release of Laolu's new single, Michael Akingbala put up a picture on instagram which condemned the use of the slang "OSHAPRAPRA" on the altar. See the post below;

A lot of people have however condemned this new development while others are in support of it. What do you think about the use of this new slang in among Christians? Kindly share your thoughts with us in the comments box!
